Counting at the weir

Monthly count: eleven grey herons between the bridge and the weir, one little egret, a pair of goosanders and far too many coots to be precise about. Water level high after the rain.

Note for next month: start from the bridge end, the light is better and the birds are less disturbed by the footpath.
